My name is Joao, I’m 22 and I come from Lisbon. After two years spent studying Telecommunications and Computer Engineering, I decided to make a change in my career and to study Multimedia. After finishing my studies, I started working as a Web Designer and Developer.

 What is your role at ALTEN?

I started working at ALTEN very recently, approximately a month ago. I work as a Web Developer, helping my team to move forward, resorting to the latest web technologies available.

Why did you choose our company to work?

Because it offered me the best financial conditions, a challenging project and an overall sense of stability.

What do you think is the most important technological challenge nowadays?

It would probably be establishing the link and balance between advanced, intelligent technology and the human being.

What are the things you value the most at work?

The work itself – how interesting and challenging the project is – and the work environment.

What are your greatest strengths?

I’m a very creative person and a fast learner.

Tell us more about you, Joao. Do you have any hobbies or talents?

I have several hobbies. Besides the most common things such as hanging out with friends and watching movies, I also produce music independently, play videogames and sometimes work on my personal projects, creating designs and apps from my own ideas.

How would you enjoy a day-off?

I would be outside with my friends and girlfriend. But I also like staying at home, with a big coffee mug, working on my personal projects.

What goals do you want to achieve in a short time?

Currently I’m looking to set up my home studio.
