Meet Mariana, she is part of the Life Sciences Department at ALTEN. She has “just started” her professional life, but already knows why she chose the Company, to have “the chance to learn and grow”. Welcome home, Mariana!

My name is Mariana, I’m a biochemist with a master’s degree in biotechnology. I’ve worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a Quality Control Analyst I am a curious and motivated person, always looking for new challenges.

What is your role at ALTEN?

I started working at ALTEN in December. Currently, I’m part of the Life Sciences Department. I work in the Electronic Laboratory Notebook team and I am working on the implementation of a software that will replace paper documents with digital ones, in all departments.

Why did you choose our company to work?

I chose ALTEN because it gave me the opportunity to work in an interesting project and the chance to learn, grow and work in a big Company.

What do you think is the most important technological challenge nowadays?

Nowadays, technology is the key to success. Companies must be able to use it to improve people’s life. This will be crucial for humanity’s future.

What are the things you value the most at work?

Working on something I love. Also, I think that is very important to be part of a great team.

What are your greatest strengths?

I think I am an ambitious and curious person. I always try to overcome difficulties.

Mariana, tell us more about you. Do you have any hobbies or talents?

I love adventures. I really like travelling and spending some time with my friends.

How would you enjoy a day-off?

I love going to the gym and go out for a walk with my family.

What goals do you want to achieve in a short time?

I just started my professional life. My main goals are growing professionally and personally with this new project, to gain experience and to improve my skills.
