ALTEN and the United Nations, 10 years of commitment to sustainable development

ALTEN commitment to sustainable development
,

10 years ago, Simon Azoulay, co-founder and CEO of the ALTEN Group, wrote to Ban Ki-moon, then Secretary-General of the United Nations. Why?

To announce that the ALTEN Group has signed the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact. For ALTEN, this commitment constitutes a central approach in favour of the protection of Human Rights, the environment and the development of sustainable innovation.

In 10 years, ALTEN’s commitment to sustainable development has been fully integrated into its development strategy. The Group’s extra-financial performance is now recognized by external rating agencies.

In 2020, ALTEN has made a point of renewing its commitment to respect and implement the 10 principles of the Global Compact. This makes all the more sense as they are a source of answers to support those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic we are facing.

This renewal of the signature of the Global Compact confirms ALTEN’s desire to work in favour of Human Rights, international labour standards, the environment and the fight against corruption in order to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Do you think we need to do more? So do we!

That’s why we will continue to take up new challenges with our network of CSR referents to capitalize on each other’s initiatives and share our common values.
