We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to support strategic procurement activities for engineering and maintenance services within a refinery environment. You will be responsible for managing the full procurement cycle for a major energy client in Sines, ensuring cost‑effective, reliable, and compliant sourcing of critical services.

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for engineering and maintenance services for refinery operations.
  • Conduct supplier sourcing, evaluation, and qualification to ensure high‑quality and competitive service providers.
  • Lead negotiation processes for new contracts, renewals, and long‑term service agreements.
  • Oversee contract extensions, renegotiations, and performance follow‑up to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategy with operational and maintenance needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable service delivery and long‑term collaboration.
  • Ensure procurement processes follow corporate policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Execute the full procurement cycle from request to negotiation, award, contract management, and supplier performance monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
  • Experience with vendor evaluation, risk assessment, and supply market analysis.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and cost‑optimization focus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage procurement activities under strict timelines.
  • Adaptability to complex industrial environments with a strong focus on compliance and safety.
