Main Responsibilities Coordination and Development:

  • Define quality controls needed to assure product quality if not possible by process inputs.
  • Perform tolerance calculation activities (with Product Eng) to identify and correct product dimensions and tolerances according to process limitations.
  • Actively participate in PFMEA activities and provide expertise in the owned processes.
  • Plan and execute process development activities according to the Machine Readiness Level results in the project lifetime, if part of a Project Management Team.
  • Participate in design reviews with the suppliers. Extreme focus on the processes, process quality, and process deliverables.

Technical Execution:

  • Define process and machine requirements for the specific assigned assembly processes that will be inputs for Technical Specification Booklet for the project.
  • Build standard work instructions (SWI) to be able to produce and set-up the assembly processes.
  • Responsible for inputs for the process failure catalogue improvement.
  • Responsible for full process validation.
  • Ensure all Key Process Indicators (KPI’s) inside targets defined in TSB, until full process release for serial production, for new processes developed. This is cycle time, scrap and OEE.
  • Technical contact of Process Shop environment, for the Star Point processes.

Project Management:

  • Demonstrate focus on COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality), timing, and budget;
  • Effectively track materials and deadlines;
  • Provide timelines for project reviews;
  • Act as a member of the ME Core Team in small projects.

Development and Innovation:

  • Actively participate in Internal Training Academy, with knowledge sharing about technical and procedure topics.
  • Critical mindset in component evaluation: aware in evaluating if the components are meeting the process requirements (dimensional, material and functional). Work with VSE engineer to inform suppliers.
  • Focus mindset on problem solving.

Requirements: Education:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics (or equivalent experience).

Technical Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of mechanics and 3D visualization;
  • Knowledge of production technologies and mechanisms;
  • Good understanding of safety and ergonomics standards;

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team;
  • Strong commitment, flexibility, and resilience;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
