Keep doing your exercise outside in Autumn

exercise outside

With the onset of Autumn, many people decide to give up outdoor sports because of the temperature changes. However, nothing could be further from the truth: this season is perfect for training outside. It’s not as hot as it is in the middle of July, nor is it as cold as you can’t follow a class without thinking that you can’t feel your fingers. The perfect time to exercise yourself outside!

The days at this time begin to be shorter, there are fewer hours of light and that makes some people choose not to exercise in the streets or train outside. But there are many sports you can do on the streets while enjoying the changes in season, such as going skating, running or cycling. These exercises are ideal for observing how the landscape changes as the season progress. And here are a few tips to ensure that nothing interrupts your training routine:

– Unlike in summer, the middle of the day is ideal for practising our favourite sport. But keep protecting yourself from the sun! Take advantage of the weekends to go hiking or to enjoy an online guided class in the park, like these yoga classes

– Exercising outdoors involves more energy expenditure and therefore increases calorie burning due to changes in speed, pace, wind or terrain. Besides, our nervous system receives more pleasant stimuli, serving as a distraction and thus reducing the feeling of tiredness or fatigue.

– Take time before and after each workout. The colder it is, the more time we have to spend on stretching and warming up. In this way, we will avoid suffering a muscular injury. If the cold does get you down, we recommend that you take a spare thermal shirt to focus on stretching.
