Meet Gabriela, she works as a Life Sciences Consultant at ALTEN Portugal. She came from Brazil a year ago and she already enjoys living in the city, likes to travel and see new places. Keep reading to meet her!

I’m Gabriela and I am from Brazil. I studied at Rio de Janeiro and I graduated in Chemistry. I’ve been working as a chemistry analyst since 2013.

What is your role at ALTEN?

I started working at ALTEN in January and currently, I am a Quality Control consultant. I am currently working on the implementation of an electronic logbook system.

Why did you choose our company to work?

I liked the possibility of trying different job opportunities and adding experience to my professional life. Working at ALTEN is the biggest challenge of my career. It takes me out of my comfort zone.

What do you think is the most important technological challenge nowadays?

There are several technological challenges, but the most important above all, have an ethical character. How data is generated, and which one is used to influence other people.

What are the things you value the most at work?

Responsibility and respect for others.

What are your greatest strengths?

Persistence and loyalty.

Tell us more about you, Gabriela. Do you have any hobbies or talents?

I like music in general, but singing has been my passion since I was a child.

How would you enjoy a day-off?

A beautiful sunny day with my family at the beach or in a park.

What goals do you want to achieve in a short time?

Acquiring new knowledge never hurts! Currently, my goals are to build a stable professional career, to learn new languages and, at the same time, to keep valuing my personal life.
